SPECIALTIES
What we help with.
Our licensed therapists work with adults and couples across a wide range of everyday and not-so-everyday concerns — with the same trusted care you already know from Rancho Family Medical Group.
Trauma
Trauma is not a character flaw. It is what your nervous system did to keep you alive.
Low Self-Esteem
The harshest voice in your head learned to talk that way a long time ago. It is not, in fact, telling you the truth.
LGBTQ+ Support
A therapy space where you don’t spend the first three sessions explaining who you are.
Men’s Issues
Most men were taught that competence means handling it alone. That works until it doesn’t.
Women’s Issues
The work of caring for everyone else often quietly teaches you to stop asking what you actually need.
Military & Veterans
You don’t have to translate the experience or start from scratch. Some of us already speak the language.
Grief & loss
Grief doesn’t move in a straight line. Some days you are mostly okay; other days a song in a store undoes the whole afternoon.
Couples Therapy
Every long-term relationship runs into the same few arguments in different costumes. Good couples work is learning the pattern, not winning the fight.
Stress
Being stretched thin is not the same as being broken — but chronic stress shapes your body, your sleep, and your patience.
Depression
When the things that used to feel like you — a walk, a conversation, a song — feel far away or flat.
Anxiety
When worry won’t let you rest — when your mind keeps running through the same loops long after you’ve turned the lights out.
SPECIALTIES
Clinical approaches our therapists draw on.
Which framework fits is a conversation we’ll have together in the first few sessions.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
A practical, structured way to notice the thoughts shaping how you feel — and change the ones that stopped working.
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)
Especially for couples. Works with the emotional patterns underneath the fights, not just the content of them.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
A parts-based approach for self-criticism, trauma, and the internal conflicts that logic alone can't resolve.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Concrete skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and relationships — for when the feeling is bigger than the moment.
Trauma-Informed
Care that assumes your responses make sense in context. Paced to your nervous system, never pushing past stabilization.
Person-Centered
You are the expert on you. Our job is to bring structure, skill, and a second perspective — not a diagnosis-shaped box.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Sessions that meet you where you are
Most clients start with weekly 50-minute sessions and adjust from there. Virtual sessions are available alongside in-person — whatever makes it easiest to keep showing up.
Virtual or in-person
Flexible telehealth for busy schedules, plus in-person availability across the Rancho Family Medical Group footprint.
Most PPO plans accepted
We currently accept most major PPO insurance plans, with transparent self-pay rates available.
Not sure who to start with?

YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE IT FIGURED OUT
The hardest part is often deciding to start.
You don’t need a diagnosis or a neatly packaged reason. If any of this feels like it’s naming something you’ve been carrying, that’s enough.
